From steel fibres through glass fibres to fibres made of plastic – the KrampeHarex®  product range is as diverse as the construction and planning projects of general contractors and engineers.


The supply situation never gets particularly tight, because we have been drawing our own wire ever since 2003, enabling us to control the entire value chain from the feedstock through to the finished fibres. This also enables us to guarantee consistently high quality for all steel grades and fibre geometries. Specialist fibres, such as KrampeFibrin® polypropylene fibres, comply with special requirements such as fire resistance ratings F60 and F90.

High-performance road surfaces

KrampeHarex® fibres are also ideal when searching for innovative solutions in road construction. Using fibre concrete makes it possible to build high-performance road surfaces that feature outstanding structural integrity, great longevity, fast construction and excellent cost-effectiveness. We were involved in three projects in Rotterdam (NL), Kerpen (D) and Leuven (BE).

Amazon – Built on KrampeHarex®

A transhipment point for millions of products needs a firm foundation: Amazon’s second biggest warehouse in Germany, built in 2008 in Bad Hersfeld, stands on a 100,000 m² floor slab made from 22,000 m³ of steel fibre-reinforced concrete. Amazon chose KrampeHarex® fibres for this purpose, both here and at its Rheinberg warehouse, which was erected 3 years later. For good reason, too.

NEW BENCHMARKS IN FIRE PROTECTION

The Leipzig City Tunnel, completed in 2008, was the first of its kind to meet these especially high fire protection requirements. The tubbing segments for lining the tunnel are reinforced with KrampeHarex® polypropylene fibres. An innovative step that has set new benchmarks. The exact dosage of the fibres also proved to be exceedingly important.
