Amazon trusts in fibres from KrampeHarex
Amazon, formerly a shop for books, has grown significantly over the past few years. According to a recent IFH survey, 94% of online shoppers in Germany are Amazon customers. Amazon's share of German online sales is around 53%. Amazon laid the groundwork for unrestrained growth at the beginning of the 21st century. There are now 8 logistics centers across the country.
As at 14 other locations, Amazon relied on KrampeHarex fibres for the construction of the logistics center in Rheinberg. For good reason: Since the floor slab has a load-bearing function due to the high loads from the pick towers, the stability of the concrete had to be precisely measured. The project benefited greatly from our experience and the quality of our fibres.
Our engineering partner determined the appropriate performance class according to the DAfStB guideline. Because seamless steel fibre concrete floors distribute pressure and tensile forces more evenly, they reduce the risk of cracking and wear. The durable industrial floor at the Amazon warehouse in Rheinberg guarantees low maintenance costs and forms a perfect basis for high warehouse turnover.
