The largest area photovoltaic plant in Austria
The photovoltaic plant with a total capacity of 11.4 megawatts
peak (MWp) is being built on a total area of 13.3 hectares. The 34,600 PV modules will generate 10.96 gigawatt hours (GWh) of solar power in an east-west orientation, which is roughly equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of 3,400 households and saves the equivalent of around 8,000 tons of CO2.
In this way, KrampeHarex and all partners involved are making a strong contribution to achieving the EU's climate targets and at the same time providing an important regional economic stimulus. In 2030, electricity generation in Austria is to be covered by 100 percent renewable energies on balance.
